Thomas Recovery Ltd originated from M&EJ Thomas wesley garage which was formed in July 1968. Melvin Thomas started of as garage manager of wesley garage in 1968 he gained recovery work for the AA and Rac threw previous contacts at the organisations and the recovery side of the business started to grow . The garage became very busy and within 12 months mel was offered a partnership in the garage by Frank Howley the garage owner mel quickly accepted this and the business grew with the police recovery contract was added to the growing customer list .In 1971 mel had a dispute with his partner and bought his share of the business .In 1973 wesley garage was appointed a recovery agent for National Breakdown who later became GreenFlag and the buisiness grew. The buisness today is still very family orientated with Mel and his Wife Jean still working in the business along with there son Paul who joined the business in 1989 after leaving school.
Thomas Recovery now includes amongst it clientel over 15 breakdown and recovery associations ,over 10 bailiff facilites various dealerships bodyshops and workshops.Our work takes us the length and breadth of the united kingdom and our unfailing professional attitude at all times goes toward these companies continually coming back and using our extensive recovery/transit experience. we have gained over the years.In fact,a lot of our work is due to the fact that current customers have passed our details to collegues expressing our professional attitude,therfore providing us with regular new customers.
We have the facilites and man power to recover or affect a roadside repair to anything from motorcycles.cars and light commercials up to 3.5 ton We can deliver vehicles any where in the United Kingdom ,even further afield if required.We have the facility for 24hour secure storage on our premises and we are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Thomas Recovery is Pas43 and ISO9001 registered company.
We have a fully operational work shop carring out servicing and repairs to all makes of cars and light commercials.
Melvin and Paul Thomas are the companys Directors Jean Thomas is the company secretary and Collen Thomas is the control room manager.
